L'engouement actuel pour l'occulte et le surnaturel

In today's western Societies, one notices the résurgence of archaic religious practices, whichfind their focal point in the occult, the paranormal, the supernatural. The diversity of thèse trends is equalled only by the ambiguous fascination they exercise on numerous contemporaries. This article does not intend to give a fully detailed list of ail tendencies nor to give a systematic interprétation of thèse phenomena. The author tries to situate the actual socio-cultural and religious contexts in which such phenomena originate. He also tries to indicate some guidelines for a reflection in the hope of a more fundamental debate which has still to be started in a multidisciplinary perspective.
