Abstract. - A number of little rivers draining across French plains to Atlantic Ocean are endowed only with a short reports of hydrometric measurements. That chronicle beginning generally in 1968 is, for the most part, formed by a sample of less rainy than normal years. To effect improvements in the knowledge of large discharges and to specify the "project- flood", it is necessary to have recourse to a shower-flood connection, seeing that pluviométric measurements make a fairly more extensive chronicle. The Gradex Method brings interesting lessons. To make use of it, the author submits methodological elements on a little basin of the Perche (district in western France) as example : calendar of rain probability with "Gradex" survey, and Montana Law to supply monthly maximum showers at amy hourly time step.
