Abstract - Galapagos Islands are created by lithospheric drift over a hot spot. Thus a comparative study of the littoral features of two distant islands allows to describe morphogenetic evolution in relation with drift. Four stages are recognized. A comparison with Hawaï islands points out the effectiveness of climatic changes as drift moves the isles throught various aeras.
