Abstract. - Poultry meat consumption and production have been developing sharply in the United States since world war II. The results have been a more and more important consolidation of the production lines framing the breeding activities, and of the breeding activities themselves, and a strong increase of poultry meat production in numerous areas of the former cotton belt.
