Fruits and vegetables picking by costumers on the farms began fifteen years ago in Ile de France, on a young farmer's initiative : he wanted to make a profit with the attraction that nature had on many city-dwellers. This activity grew in big farms when the fall of wheat prices required a diversification. That can become a new activity in the areas around cities.
