Abstract. - GIS implemented on Work-stations (PC and MAC) could be used for teaching and for technology transfer. The CEGET has a strong experience in cooperating with foreign countries in the Tropical Areas, and in this context we have tested the use of GIS in retraining programs applied on the dynamics of rural systems in cooperation with Venezuela.
