L'approvisionnement en matériaux lithiques au Paléolithique dans le bassin de Brive et les déplacements de populations / Palaeolithic flint-supply in the Brive basin and population movements

The first part of this article deals with the different flint-supply strategies of the people in the Brive basin during the middle and late Palaeolithic. These were influenced by three factors : distance from the source of primary material, quality and abundance of the material. The second part is concerned with relations between flint distribution and the movement of these people, linked, as they are, to an economy of subsistence based essentially on hunting, fishing and gathering.
