摘要
Barthélémy, Michel - Textual events : when AIDS becomes a public scandal. The general press deals with subjects that may present particular difficulties of a technical, scientific or other nature. Reporters sometimes question the way specialists and officials have done their job. Information then becomes a way of pointing the finger, though not to express a complaint mat the author would like to have acknowledged. Rather, this works as a strategy seeking, through the reception and reading processes, to transfer the problem from the scientific, medical and administrative register (implying specialized knowledge) to one of common sense, accessible to a citizenry. Each reader should be empowered, thanks solely to his competence as ordinary member of the society, and armed only with the information contained in the account, to grasp the nature of the problem. The present paper analyzes the newspaper article reputed to have been the first to divulge the affaire of blood contamination.
