Čegodaeva-Geršenzon’s Memoirs The First Steps of My Life: Years of My Immortality In 1952 Natalija Mixajlovna Čegodaeva-Geršenzon, the daughter of the Russian historian, critic and philosopher Mixail Osipovič Geršenzon (1869-1925) wrote her memoirs. As an insider in the culture of Russia's Silver Age, she keenly describes the daily life of Moscow’s prerevolutionary intelligentsia. In addition, she provides valuable information concerning the life of M. O. Geršenzon. This is the first time these memoirs have been published.
