Redistribution of sediments within small river catchments in the agricultural zone of Russia/La redistribution des sédiments dans les petits bassins versants de l'espace cultivé de Russie

摘要

Abstract The agricultural zone of Russia occupies a vast territory, including the forest, forest-steppe and steppe zones of the temperate climatic belt. Detailed study of the features of sediment redistribution for key drainage basins within different natural zones aimed to define the main tendencies of changing rates of erosion and deposition processes. The amounts of deposition were estimated for each of the key basins for several time spans, including the whole period of intensive cultivation, the last 35-40 years and the present day situation.
