An integrated development zone project in the town centre of Meudon (Hauts-de-Seine) has led to the unearthing of two tilemakers kilns datable to the 3rd century A. D. The operation, conducted under conditions of extreme urgence, is however the chance to ask questions about the supplying of Paris-Lutèce with building material, the metrology of the latter, but also the actual capacity and profitability of these workshops.
