Le pyrgos de Kabalaréos, alias pyrgos du roi Milutin

An Athonite pyrgos situatued half-way on the road between Chilandar monastery and its quai is attributed by tradition and on the basis of the supposed date of construction to King Milutin of Serbia. By analysis of one well known but little used source as well as another recently published the author concludes that there is sufficient evidence to identify the pyrgos as that of Kabalareos, apparently the name of the founder or restorer of the monument.
