Objective of this graduate thesis is calibration of digital videocamera used in the mobile mapping system. Acquiring data with mobile photogrammetric system is faster, easier to use and also cheaper then using classical measurement methods (e.g. with a polar method). This work presents how digital cameras work and what are theirs characteristics that influence the final accuracy, quality and applicability of acquired data in closerange photogrammetry. As a conclusion of a theoretical part of this work characteristics of single-image photogrammetry and parametres of internal orientation are presented, which are determined throughout the process of calibration. A practical part of the diploma thesis is based on a calibration of two manufacturer digital cameras – Canon, type XH G1, which are used by the road mobile photogrammetric system WideoCar 3. This system is beeing costructed, developed and used by the DFG CONSULTING, d. o. o. enterprise. I used two practical methods of calibration. The first one was a calibration using a test field, the second one was a calibration using a grid on commercial building. Results of internal orientation are presented and analysed in the thesis.
