Content analysis of the archival materials of land cadastre in the area of Primorska

This diploma thesis presents the content of the Franziscean cadastre and the results of the analytical part, where the usability of these archival materials for the purpose of the analyses of land plots’ structure and land-use change in the last two centuries was studied for the study area. The theoretical part describes history of the land cadastre for the Slovenian area, with emphasis on the history of the Franziscean land cadastre. In particular the available archival materials of the land cadastre for the Slovenian coastal region is presented, which is stored in the Archives in Trieste, Italy. In the practical part the results of the analyses of spatial changes in the urban space in the cadastral community of Koper are presented, which have taken place since the establishment of the Franziscean Land Cadastre in 1819 until today. For the comparative analysis we used attribute data of the Franziscean land cadastre and its cadastral map, which was completed in the scale 1 : 1440, and current data from the land cadastre (2013). The results are presented in graphical and numerical form in order to facilitate the understanding.
