The thesis describes the process of true orthophoto generation. An important input in the generation process of true orthophoto is a digital surface model (DSM), which is made with the merger of the digital terrain model and digital building model. The thesis provides us with two different ways of creating a DSM, namely using the photogrammetric mapping data or the classified LIDAR data. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first part presents the difference between classical and true orthophoto, describes the source data and their acquisition methods as well as the theoretical basis of true orthophoto creation steps. The end of the theoretical part describes the quality checking of true orthophoto. The second, practical part shows a concrete example of the above listed theory. Emphasis is placed on the process of creating both digital surface models. Quality checking of the final products and their comparison, which is the main purpose of the research, is presented at the end of the thesis.
