Use of spatially positioned photographs in construction process

In this thesis we have developed and demonstrated the use of system that enables management ofudphotographic information collected from construction process. Captured photos can be treated asuddocuments that are linked to a specific project context and geografic position.udPhotodocumentation in this thesis is placed in the comprehensive ontology framework describingudconstruction process. For this purpose standard classification tools have been analysed and theirudrelevance has been verified. The thesis examines the applicability of photodocumentation andudimplementation of a system for management of photos in the construction process, with audpractical procedure for acquisition, retrieval and management of photographic data. Theudimplementation of a software system is provided as a functional prototype – web solution. In thisudprototype web solution is linked to the building process through the application of QR-codes thatudserve as mean for the special positioning of photos and integration of photos into the existing dataudcollecting construstion sites. With the use of QR-codes we have upgraded and connected photouddocumentation with work orders and floor plans of an object. The theses also proposes an actualudprocedure of taking photos and their implementation into the web application.
