In densely populated urban areas there is a lack of parking spaces for urban residents andudcommuters. That is why underground parking houses are being made. They allow parking ofudnumerous vehicles and are almost invisible on the surface. The purpose of this GraduationudThesis is to present the construction of the parking house at Kongresni trg in Ljubljana. Theudfirst part describes the protection of excavation pit and construction of reinforced concreteuddiaphragm wall. Based on the structure of the soil which is described in the geotechnicaludreport, the static analysis has been carried out with the use of Amses computer program.udResults of analysis show the maximum bending moments, shear and axial forces account inudthe deepest ground part of the structure, which was expected because stresses in the soiludstructure increase with depth. The second part of the Thesis presents the protection ofudexcavation pit with reinforced concrete diaphragm wall and describes the construction ofudstructural components and groundwater pumping. Finally the third part describes theudconstruction technology for building the parking house by diaphragm walls from top toudbottom by supporting reinforced concrete floor and tubular steel braces.
