Analysis of the disposal options of surplus excavated materials from the route of the second track Divača - Koper

This diploma thesis presents the possibility of constructing disposal facilities for the excess material in the area called Ankaranska Bonifika. Ground at this location is made from very soft and compressible river and marine sediments. Based on the results from our field and laboratory research, we analysed different options of soil improvement before filling, by using vertical drains and gravel piles. We analysed also the possibilities of constructing the fill without any additional sanitation work in the natural ground. IV
