Understanding spatial data concepts is crucial in orderudto define and apply spatial data models. The modelingudprocess is the know-how on what steps to carry outudduring analysis and design of formal static anduddynamic spatial models. The development of specificudmethodology for modeling real estate transaction casesudwas the primary objective. The methods used originateudfrom the system-engineering domain and are onlyudpartly described because of the scanty space available.udThe presented approach was applied for modeling ofuddifferent real estate transactions. The result is a set ofudrelated UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagramsudand formal descriptions of selected transaction useudcases. In this paper only the simple subdivision of audparcel is presented. This short transaction exampleudguides us through the Slovenian settings andudcircumstances. It was selected in order to illustrate theudmodeling methodology and its results as such. Theudmain focus is on the modeling approach and not onudthe complexity of some real estate transaction cases.
