摘要

Promoting energy efficiency and saving as well as development of new and renewableudenergy sources are among the main goals of the EU energy policy. The energy renovation ofudElementary School Fara in 2013 was done according to the principles and with the financialudaid of this policy. The renovation comprised thickening of the heat insulation, replacingudwindows and a reconstruction of the boiler room including installation of a biomass boilerudrunning on wood chips and pellets.udThe analysis includes a comparison of energy efficiency calculations done with computerudsoftware programmes TEDI, TOST and Gradbena Fizika URSA 4 before and after theudrenovation as well as a comparison of the computer calculations with the actual data on theuduse of energy in 2014. The thesis also includes cost analysis of the investment andudrecommendations on cost-efficient actions that should be taken to further improve energyudefficiency of the building in the future.udThe results have shown that the computer data calculated with the use of different softwareudprogrammes vary very little while the difference between the computer data and the actualuddata is more substantial. The analysis shows that the financial effects of the higher energyudefficiency as well as the cheaper energy source will be quite large, which means that theudenergy renovation of the building has been successful.
