The thesis contains a project about retaining and support structure for the purpose of wood storage. The problem and the basic idea of the two constructions are presented in the introduction of the thesis. In brief, we also describe the types of retaining constructions. Next, we present fieldwork and laboratory research. During fieldwork we took measurements for drawing cross-section profiles and dug three excavation holes, from which we have taken samples for further analysis in the laboratory, where we later continued the research. The research was then followed by the static analysis of retaining and support constructions. We used the rules of Eurocode 7. After that we determined the final geometry of the cross-section in the two structures, which passed all the necessary control tests. On the basis of a combination of effects acting on the structure we calculated internal forces, onto which we designed the reinforcements. At the end we showed the selected reinforcements in a cross-section design and made an inventory of all reinforcements in the constructions.?
