In the diploma work different floor screeds and demands regarding the screeds are given first. Then the test methods for determination of moisture in porous materials, such as gravimetric method, method with calcium carbide and measurements with GANN equipment, are described and tested mortar or concrete mixes for floor screeds are presented. Beside tests for moisture determination also additional tests carried out on fresh (flow table test and w/c ratio test) and hardened (determination of compressive and flexural strength) tests specimens were carried out. Finally, the obtained results were analysed and correlation between results of different test methods for moisture determination are given, and different mortar or concrete mixes were estimated according to demands and recommendations valid for floor screeds.
