摘要

The objectives of this study were (a). To measure the effect of basic questioning technique with picture to the high motivation students in writing recount text at the eighth grade of SMPN 2 Palangka Raya.(b). To measure the effect of basic questioning technique with picture to the low motivation students in writing recount text at the eighth grade of SMPN 2 Palangka Raya.(c). To measure the effect basic questioning technique with picture tothe high and low motivation studentsin writing recount text at the eighth grade of SMPN 2 Palangka Raya.udThe study included in Quantitative Paradigm with Experimental factorial 2x2 design. The writer designed the Lesson Plan, conducted the treatment and observed the students’ score by pre-test and post-test. Before conducted the test, the writer conducted try-out test for reliability and validity of instrument test at SMPN 2 PalangkaRaya but the test was at class VIII-1. The population of study were the first year students at SMPN 2 Palangka Raya which consisted of 8 classes that each class consist of 33-35 students. The writer chose VIII-6 and VIII-7 as sample. The sample was determined using cluster sampling technique.The writer applied Two-ways ANOVA calculation to test the hypothesis to analyze the data.udThe result of testing reliability, it was found that the ro = 0.954 was higher than rtable= 0.3494. Since the coefficient of correlation was 0.954 with the high criteria positive reliability. It meant that the instrument of this study could be used as the instrumentation of the study. Then, the result of testing normality found asymptotic significance (0.206) that was higher than significance level (α= 0.05). It could be concluded the data was in normal distribution. The result of homogeneity showed that the significance observed (0.490) was higher than (α= 0.05). It could be conclude that the data was not violated homogeneity. The result of Two- Ways ANOVA with SPSS 20.0 and manual calculation the result of firstHa, it was found the value of Fobetween columns (23558.6) that was lower than Ftableat significance level of 5% (4.00). Ha stating that accepted and H0 was rejected.Second Ha, it was proved by the value of Fobetween rows (14.8) that was higher than Ftableat significance level of 5% (4.00). It was interpreted that Ha stating thatHa was accepted and H0 was rejected.Third Ha, it was found the value of Fointeraction (5.5) that was higher than Ftableat significance level of 5% (4.00). It means that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected
