As matter effect, many students often finduddifficulties in speaking. Teaching strategy can solve the students difficulties. It is used toudmeasure the learning process, learning result and the impact of learning activities. Eachudschool has its own strategy to develop its own output, means the quality of students andudgraduation. Also with MA An-Nur Cirebon has certain program namely "English IntensiveudProgram" to improve students’ competence in speaking English.udThe goals of the research are: (1) to describe the implementations of the teacherudstrategies in teaching Speaking at English Intensive Program of MA An-Nur Cirebon, (2) touddescribe the students' difficulties in speaking at English Intensive Program of MA An-NurudCirebon, and (3) to describe the strategies of the teacher in overcoming students' difficultiesudin speaking at English intensive program of MA An-Nur Cirebon.udThe method of this research is descriptive qualitative research. It takes place at MA An-udNur Cirebon. The participants of this study were an English teacher and all the students whoudjoin English Intensive program. The primary sources of data for this research are observationudinterview and study of document. While, the secondary data of this research areudquestionnaire, journals and books.udThe result shows that the teacher used some strategies in teaching speaking at EnglishudIntensive program, there are lecturing, review, sharing, discussion and telling story. But, theudstudents still difficult to speak English. The problems consist of : limitedness of vocabulary,udProblem in choosing vocabulary, lack of understanding of grammatical pattern, incorrectudpronunciation, and inconfidence to speak. Then, the teacher has some strategies to overcomeudstudents' difficulties in speaking, there are: debate, role play, prepared talks, interview, gamesudand brainstorming. It was also found out that the teacher strategy in overcoming students'uddifficulties at English Intensive program has good impact to the students response.udKey Words : Strategy, Teaching Speaking, Students' difficulties in speaking, EnglishudCommunity.
