NEFI DWI LESTARI PAOLINA : The Influence of Using Children Songs AsudMedia For Increasing Students’ SpeakingudSkill at Fourth Grades of SDN Pancalang.udSong is one of learning media which can used in learning Englishudespecially in english speaking. Teach speaking English in the elementary schooludsometimes dont appropiate,well in method of teaching English or condition of theudschool, It can influence students ability especially speaking in the class, it needudmedia for help the learning prosses especially song to teach speking.based onudHarmer (2000: 242) states that music is a powerful stimulus for studentudengagement precisely because it speaks directly to our emotions while stilludallowing us to use our brains to analyze it and its effects if we so wish. Songs areuda good resource for English teaching. First, they are funny. Second, they promoteudmimics, gestures. Theudpopulation of the research is 200 students and the sample of the research 20udstudents. The techniques of collecting data are observation , interview and test.udTest instrument use normality test and homogenity, the technique of analysis dataudthe researcher use T test.udAfter the analysis of data, the researcher find the result of students’udspeaking skill before using children song is 40,8 the category is sufficient,udstudents’ speaking skill after using children song is75 the category is good, andudthere is influence of using children song for increasing students’ speaking skill isud11,83 category is significant,it is suppoted by t0 (11,83)> tt (2,11) or alternativeudhypothesis (Ha)is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected.udThere are some important points in this research there is different abilityudbetween before and after using chldren song for increasing students’ speakingudskill,and there is influence using children song for students’ speaking skill. So forudlearning speaking English the teacher must be use method song as media, it canudhelp the learning process in order to instructional process can enjoy and funudbecause children can be easily to remember about the material and lesson
