Though according to her lifetimeudexperience, she finds that vocabulary has been a problem in English lesson and that itudneeds improvement in the junior high school. After conducting pre-research, sheudfound that vocabulary problems remained in the seventh grade students of MTsudNegeri Cisaat Sumber. One of them is the using of memorizing technique asudconventional technique that is used by the teacher during vocabulary teaching andudlearning. Then she found the possible solution to overcome the vocabulary problemsudby using bingo games strategy. Therefore, she decided to write the thesis about theudtopic.udThis thesis is written to solve problems that appear in the teaching andudlearning vocabulary so that the students can increase their attention, enthusiasm, andudmotivation in learning vocabulary, can remember and understand the meaning ofudwords easily, can spell and pronounce words correctly. Then at the end, the students’udvocabulary achievement in learning English can be increased by using bingo gamesudstrategy.udVocabulary is the total number of words in language. A bingo game is a gameudthat is very useful for English vocabulary learning. Memorizing is a learnerudtechnique in language learning especially vocabulary learning.udThe method used in this research is quantitative method particularlyudexperimental research. The research was conducted from May 21st until July 20thud2012 at the seventh grade students of MTs Negeri Cisaat Sumber, Cirebon. Theudresearch data are collected by using observation, interview and test. The observationudincludes the objective condition of school and classroom observation to observe theudstudents’ behavior and vocabulary achievement performed by students. The writerudinterviewed an English teacher about the teaching and learning English at the school.udTest includes pre-test and post-test. The data are analyzed through test t formula.udThe research findings prove three important things. First, the students’udvocabulary achievement in learning English through bingo games technique is 74.25.udThe second is the students’ vocabulary achievement in learning English throughudmemorizing technique is 65.75. The third, there is positive and significantudcomparison between students’ vocabulary achievement in learning English throughudbingo games technique and memorizing technique. It is supported by the absoluteudvalue of the obtained test t (5.29) > table t (1.99) or Ha > Ho.
