Sense is a widely used concept in organization and management theory. Considering the diverse meanings of the word "sense" in the literature and the theoretical vagueness in which it is used, we propose a new conceptualization of the concept of "sense". We build the construction upon the sense that is given by project members to the project they take part in. In order to achieve this goal, developed a case study by Immochan, the real estate subsidiary of the Auchan group. The operationalization of the concept of sense draws a grid that we used to analyze situations both between project members and through time during the projects development. Actors' subjectivity can then be grasped though our rigorous analysis grid. It enables us to analyze three empirically established phenomenons: the impact of actors' orientation on their behavior, project managers suffering and the use of analogy to make sense about the project.
