The combat sports and the martial arts are always presented as educational and remain little practiced in physical education. However one can consider that the combat sports belong to the patrimony of the humanity and that since the French Revolution, the physical activities of fight were regularly registered in the official programs of teaching of the EPS.The study of these activities by means of investigations (1188 questionnaires analyzed with an application that we have realized), of analyses of speech of experts and articles (21 studies) and analyses of abstracts of communications (212 studies), clarifies locations of the various "actors" (judokas, pupils, students, teachers) of the judo, the combat sports and physical education.The results show that the judo is not reducible in the knowledge to fight, and that the "multiform" side including the educational purposes, the fights without stake, but also the technical approaches, the self-defense should be put in front of way to release strategies of progress for all, learners and teachers.
