La construction de logements à Varsovie depuis 1990 : une reprise en demi-teinte

The polish capital city has been undergoing a boom in the real estate market since 1990. This trend is yet coming late, in the 2000s, after a long phase of structural shortage during the socialist period, which got worse at the beginning of systemic transformations. The ownership framework of housing stock has totally changed in the first market, and now the private sector is building the huge majority of new dwellings. The paper develops these aspects at the scale of all polish cities, and then at the scale of Warsaw, since the capital city has a particular status in the real estate dynamics, the status of an attractive metropolis. Transformations of the housing stocks are analysed in their geographical dimension, inside the city.
