obotics is gradually becomingudtransformational, effecting various aspects of human life.udOne of the key enabling technologies that allowed serviceudrobots to leave the factory and automation applicationuddomain is localization. Spatial awareness provided byudsensors, navigation and positiudoning systems made it possibleudto use robots in the dynamically changing humanudenvironment. This talk overviews the recent developmentudthat lead to flexible service robots all around us, and focusesudon two particular domains, where Óbuda University has audstrong history to build on, image-guided navigation forudmobile application and for medical robots.
