Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Pre-deployment and Orientation Courses in Europe, part 1.

In this article I would like to give a short summary about CIMIC udpre-deployment and orientation udcourses available in Europe, and in the European Union at uddifferent institutions and training centers.udThe descriptions are based on some personal experience, also udsome are collected across interviews udfrom other participants, and of course via open sources, like udcourse catalogues. The aim of the udarticle is to collect the special kind of courses and uddemonstrate the wide range of similarities as fact udof integration and harmonization, but also try to highlight some udsmall differencies. I would like to udmake a short list of institutions, course thematic, lecturers udand duration of these courses. There areudno scientific result in this article as standing alone, but my udwider research area a comparative esseyudon the European Union member states and compare their relation udto Common Security and Defence udPolicy, their participation in EUFOR (ongoing, military) udmissions, CIMIC activity and institutions andudtry to find the similarities and differences.
