Az ökofalvak sajátos közösség-szerveződési és életmód-kísérletnek tekinthetők, melyek számos izgalmas néprajzi-antropológiai kutatási kérdést vetnek fel. A kutatás során a magyar ökofalvak létrejöttét, létrejöttük ideológiai alapjait, az ökofalusiak közösség-koncepcióját, a családról való gondolkodását, az általuk követett kulturális- és életmód-modelleket, e modellek megvalósulásának egyéni módjait vizsgáltam. A határozottan kirajzolódó közös ideológiák és modellek mellett rendkívül sokfélék a hazai ökofalvak: bár vannak közös nevezőik (létrejöttük ideje, körülményei, bizonyos technológiai formák, az ökofalusiak társadalmi rétege, gyökerei, világnézetük, véleményük az aktuális globális folyamatokról stb.), sokféleség jellemzi őket a megvalósítás formájában, a csoportok méretében és összetételében, társadalmi berendezkedésükben, a világhoz való viszonyukban, az alkalmazott technológiákban, vallási-spirituális hovatartozásukban. A terep, a kutatás tárgya több módszertani kérdéssel, problémával is szembesíti a kutatót, mint például: az új típusú közösségek kutatási lehetőségei; multisited ethnography; az életüket tudatosan szervező, rendkívül reflexív és önreflexív, értelmiségi ökofalu-lakók és a kutató illetve a kutatási eredmények viszonya. | Ecovillages can be seen as special attempts of community-organization and way of life, which suggests some interesting ethnographical-anthropological questions. In the course of research I examined the process of coming into the existence of Hungarian ecovillages, their ideological bases, the community-conception of ecovillagers, their concepts about a family, the cultural and lifestyle-models followed by them and the individual realization of these models. Beside the ideas and models they have in common the Hungarian ecovillages are extremely different from each other. They share some denominators: period and circumstances of their foundation, some technological forms, the inhabitatns’ social strata, their roots, their ideology, their opinion of the current global issues etc. But diversity characterizes them in the way of realization of the above mentioned things, in the size and content of the groups, in their social arrangement, in their attitude towards the world, in the applied technologies and in their religious-spiritual belonging. The field, the topic of this research confronts the researcher with some methodological questions, for example: the research possibilities of new types of communities, multisited ethnography; the relation between the researcher and the research results on the one hand and the intellectual, reflexive and self-reflexive ecovillagers trying to lead a conscious life on the other hand.
