Portable Simulation of Realistic Rain and Wind Environments for Demonstration of Weatherproof Fabrics

The Gore Portable Weather Simulation Chamber is designed to produce variable weather conditions ranging from light drizzle to wind-driven rain. Participants will experience the "Guaranteed to Keep You Dry®" promise of GORE-TEX® fabrics at trade shows, conferences, and recruiting events. The system will accommodate a single participant at a time wearing provided outerwear garments. An audience may observe the participant inside the chamber through clear plastic walls. Readouts will display the current wind and rain conditions within the chamber to the audience. Parallel mechanical and electrical systems have been designed and implemented to ensure participant safety and to suit operator preferences. The system will maintain its own water supply, be powered by a single 120V circuit, allow at least 30% duty cycle, and be able to be assembled or disassembled by two trained associates in 30 minutes or less.
