摘要

Through exploring flow within the Stimulus-Organism-Response paradigm, this paper aims to add a new dimension to the existing online SOR model and thereby extend the theoretical and conceptual understanding of flow and the impact of web atmospherics, namely music, in an online fashion retail setting.ududA conceptual framework was developed based on prior literature, and an online survey was generated to test four hypotheses. The result to date suggests the presence of music is negatively associated with arousal/pleasure and arousal/flow. The full analysis is yet to be carried out, and this paper reports on the initial findings from the pilot study.
