摘要

Researches in the area of zinc coatings on steeludare rather unending because of the unique properties andudthe very low cost that it offers. In this study, an attempt touddevelop a compact and structurally modified coating thatudwill work against chemical and mechanical deteriorationudwith the help of Zn–Tic/Tib was studied. Scanning electronudmicroscope and atomic force microscope were used toudstudy the surface morphology, the topography, and theudsurface adherence properties of the coatings. Micro-hardnessudof the deposited substrate, the electrochemicaludbehavior and the corrosion properties of the deposits wereudinvestigated by means of high impact diamond Dura scanudmicro-hardness tester and gravimetric method. From theudresults, the deposition of Zn–Tic/Tib composite particlesudshowed good protection against corrosion and alsoudimproved the hardness values. Hence, Zn–Tic/Tib alloyudcoating on mild steel can be used to improve the propertiesudof mild steel.
