Activated carbon was produced from palm-kerneludshell using NaOH and KOH solutions as the activating agents.udThe same was tested to determine its adsorptive capacity andudefficiency using methylene blue solution. Particle sizes of theudproduced carbon were in the range of 600 – 2000 μm. Theudadsorption process was carried out at two different temperaturesudusing methylene blue as adsorbate. It was observed thatudadsorption of methylene blue dye using carbon activatedudimpregnated with KOH gave better result than with NaOH.udBased on the adsorption parameters obtained, the process wasudfound to be better described by the Freundlich adsorptionudisotherm.
