A Computational Approach in Estimating theudAmount of Pond Pollution and Determining the LongudTime Behavioural Representation of Pond PollutionudModel
This paper specifically develops a computational approach in estimating the amountudof pond pollution and determining the long time(every 48 hours) behaviouraludrepresentation of the pond pollution model.This approach, which can be considered asudan extension of the block predictor-corrector methods in form of implicit blockudmultistep method has many computational advantages usingvariable step sizeudtechnique. Moreover, it possesses some important advantages of designing a suitableudstep size, stopping criteria(prescribed tolerance level) and error control/minimizationudas well. This makes the new approach specifically efficient for solving systems ofudfirst-order ordinary differentialequations. Analysis of some theoretical properties ofudthe method is carried out to ascertain the extent of performance of the method. Again,udnumerical results are given to display the performance and efficiency of this newudmethod on system first-order ordinary differential equations.
