Advisor: Nanik Sri Rahayu, M.PdududKeyword: Teacher’s strategy, native speaker teacherudTeacher strategy is used to create the effective learning process, so it brings the positive impact of learning activities. Different teachers have different way to teach their students in the classroom especially in teaching English. Teaching English as foreign language in the school majority teach by non-native speaker teacher, but there are some schools that teaching English by native speaker teacher. Native speaker is a person who has English as their mother tongue. Native speaker has a greater capacity, has practice since childhood and has a better pronunciation, has a better expression, and provide better explanation, and know more vocabulary and spelling rules because English is his/her language. Based on this statement, the researcher want to study about teacher’s strategy employed by native speaker teacher in teaching English at MAN 2 Tulungagung. Thus, Teacher strategy in teaching is very important to help teacher to optimize the use of method and technique.udThe problem concerned in this study are: (1) What are strategies used in teaching English by native speaker at MAN 2 Tulungagung?(2) How is the implementations of the strategies in teaching English by native speaker at MAN 2 Tulungagung?udThe purpose of this research are: (1) To know what strategies are used for teaching English by native speaker at MAN 2 Tulungagung. (2) To know how the implementation of the strategies in teaching English by native speaker at MAN 2 TulungagungudResearch Method: 1) the research design in this study was descriptive design with qualitative approach, 2) the subjects of this study was Native Speaker Teacher.udThe result showed that native speaker teacher used direct teaching strategy, cooperative learning strategy and combine that two teaching strategy in teaching learning process. Native speaker used direct teaching strategy in teaching process to explain the material directly. In teaching process in the classroom native speaker teacher used media to explain the material for example; LCD and laptop this to make students interest with his instruction. Then he ask question to the students about material or give students individual work. In cooperative teaching strategy native speaker teacher make a group that consist of two until six students in a group. After make a group, native speaker teacher inform of the material and explain about the task that will do in a group. Then, native speaker teacher give student task and they have do the task with their partner in a group. He always guide students if the students difficult to understand the task, he around the class and go to one group to another group to check the student’s problem. Students must be active in the group. After student do task they have to present their task in front of the class. Sometimes, native speaker teacher combined both of two teaching strategy to make students did not feel bored, sleepy, and not pay attention during teaching process.
