Policy capacity in the Northern Territory Public Service: A view from the workforce

RESEARCH AIMTo identify the facilitators and barriers for effective policy work (‘policy capacity’) in the Northern Territory Public Service. This brief is a summary of results from an online survey conducted in 2013 of Northern Territory public servants with a substantial part of their job function being policy analysis or advice. We discuss how risk factors might influence the perception of barriers and needs of the ‘policy workforce’.
