Women’s health and homelessness in Cork. A joint snapshot study of the health and related needs of women who are homeless in Cork 04 – 10 July 2011.

Over the course of one week in early July 20111 Good Shepherd Services and Cork Simon Community worked together to record the health and related needs of people using their respective projects and services. This snapshot follows similar studies conducted by Cork Simon in 2009 and 2010. ududThe aim of the health snapshot study is to build a picture of the nature and extent of the health and related needs of people who are homeless in Cork, as well as those who are on the road to piecing their lives back together. Those needs are often referred to as complex needs - a combination of poor mental and physical health, problem drug and alcohol use, inadequate education, living and coping skills, poor social networks and much more.
