Shooting up: infections among injecting drug users in the United Kingdom 2006: An update: October 2007.

This report looks at the following key points: the prevalence of HIV, Hepatitis A, B & C, HTLV-II infection amongst injecting drug users (IDU's); vaccination and prison vaccine programmes; crack-cocaine users and infection; sharing and usage of injecting equipment; incidents of wound botulism, Staphylococcus aureus and severe group A streptococcal infection and contamination of heroin. Includes data on risk patterns and behaviours, conclusion and recommendations.
