About the process of lexicalization of the honorific expressions with '-ís(s)imo' in Spanish

摘要

The aim of the paper is the analysis of lexicalization of the honorific expressions with the superlative suffix in Spanish. Through a large corpus of non-­fictional texts (XV-­XIX centuries) I will find the main morphosyntactic, semantic as well pragmatic reasons that led to the conversion of appreciative elements in the highly productive honorific expressions of the Spanish Golden Age.
