摘要

Two formulations of geopolymers, made of metakaolin and sodium silicate in different proportions, were tested as adhesives in the restoration of porous stones. To do this a specially prepared ceramic artifact was used. The degree of adhesion was evaluated by measurements of mechanical bending resistance of geopolymers obtained at different curing time and at room temperature or 80?C. The resulting strength is always lower than that of ceramics, and the better formulation seems to be that with Si/Al = 2. No evidence supporting the substantial influence of temperature in the curing of geopolymers, which stabilizes within a few days
