摘要

Crude-oil technology specifically involves the application of interfacial rheological properties. Actually, static and dynamic interfacial physical quantities encompass several processes of interest for oil industry (such as enhanced oil recovery, emulsion formation, emulsion-stability control and breaking, oil de-watering, emulsion/sludge separation in waste water treatment, et cetera). Three points are worth to be taken into consideration. A) The role of interfacial viscoelasticity of droplets (as well as of mechanical and of hydrodynamic processes) in the formation and stability of emulsions. B) The oil-droplet migration, separation and removal from discharged or recycled water streams. C) The exploit of wettability in processes relevant to solid/liquid interfacial systems. The poster reports the theoretical background for A-C points, describes measurement instrumentation and illustrates typical experimental results together with the relevant data analysis.
