A method to estimate the channel impulse responseusing the received serial data in time-domain, without using DFToperations, is investigated. The processing required by theproposed method is substantially reduced when compared withLS-DFT channel estimation method, with no performancedegradation. Furthermore, this method can incorporate theresults of other published works that are DFT-based, at little orno added complexity, to improve the estimate of channel impulseresponse.
