Knowledge utilization and decision making in construction projects in Malaysia

Knowledge utilization is the process to apply rightudand relevant knowledge at the right time and placeudfor effective decision making.The purpose of thisudpaper is twofold.First, to identify the characteristics of knowledge utilization inudconstruction projects in Malaysia.Second, to testudwhether there is an influence of knowledge utilization on decision making.A questionnaireudsurvey was used to collect data from 124 professionals in different types of constructionudprojects.Processes, factors, and obstacles ofudknowledge utilization were identified and discussedudin this paper.However, the results indicated thatudthere is no significant relationship betweenudknowledge utilization and effectiveness of decisionudmaking.
