Access to Healthcare of Hispanic Immigrants in the Greater Chicago Area: A Documentary

The inspiration for this thesis arose from Roy Germano’s visit to Lake Forest College, and was further influenced by my keen interest in medicine and my studies in Spanish. Preliminarily, my purpose was to research, through videos interviews, the struggles of healthcare access for undocumented Hispanic immigrants in the Greater Chicago area. It became immediately apparent that this sensitive subject elicited many hesitant responses from possible participants. Regardless, the goal of this thesis was reached, as a considerable amount of information was recorded through these personal interviews, and my personal desire to undertake this investigation was fulfilled.
