The Effects of Opromazin in the Potentiated Narcosis Combined with Lumbar Anesthesia in Urological Operation

Opromazin is a new phenothiazine derivative. Here we report the effect of Opromazin used for the potentiated narcosis combined with lumbar anesthesia on 19 cases of urological operations. In some cases, O p romazin was given as a cocktail consists of 100mg of Opromazin, 50mg of Hiberna and 105mg of Opystan which presented a quite satisfactory effect. As far as a hypnotic effect was concerned, Opromazin was less remarka b le than Chlorpromazine. When its large dosis was given, however, a hypnotic effect was observed without side reaction lowering a blood pressure.
