Traumatic damage of skin coverage on the penis and scrotum seems to cause difficult surgical, endoclinological and psychological problems. We saw a patient with traumatic avulsion of the genitalia. The penis could be covered using local skin remnants and the scrotum could be restored by a staging operation modified by Taguchi. However, the sperm count was as low as 9×10[5]ml, more than three years after the operation, even though the testicular tissues were in a suitable location. Although endoclinological function may be kept within the normal range, implanting the testes in the thigh pockets and then moving them to the artificial scrotum might cause some damage to spermategenesis.
