Congenital ureteral valve (report of a case) Statistical observations of congenital ureteral valve in Japan and in Europe and America

A case of 34 years old female with congenital ureteral va l ve at 2 cm below uretero-pelvic junction in the left ureter was presented in detail. Valvectomy with T-tube ureterostomy was performed, but the patient died because of associated complete obstruction of the right ureter resulted from previous ureterolithotomy and severe damage of renal function, on the fourteenth day after operation. Statistical observation s were made on twenty-two cases of congenital ureteral valve in which ten cases in Japan and twelve cases in Europe and America. Discussions were made on several points of this disease with reference to the literatures.
